I learnt early on that where some see a manicure or a massage as something superficial, for many, these treatments open up a passageway to allow healing in the mind, body and soul through stress alleviation. When we relax we let go of some of the stress that we hold, making room for a little more space to grow and heal.
That is the ethos from which I run my business. I provide services to charities, hotels, corporate companies and residential homes; places that have people who really need a little ‘me-time’.
One day I would love to set up my own charity where I can focus on providing wellness and treatments to people in real need.
The secret to an enjoyable and fulfilling life in beauty is to wholeheartedly love working with people, because what is beauty without people?
And I certainly wouldn’t be where I am today with The Urban Beauty Company without my love of meeting new people and striving to help them achieve their beauty goals. Every person I work with is an individual, so their treatments are too.
Though I may have qualified over 19 years ago, there is always a new skill to learn, a new technique to master, and, because of this, you will regularly find me taking courses learning everything there is to learn about the latest trends in beauty so I can always offer the best of what’s out there.
